The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle is the second studio album by American rock singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen. It was recorded by Springsteen with the E Street Band at 914 Sound Studios, Blauvelt, New York, and released on November 5, 1973 by Columbia Records. It includes the song Rosalita Come Out Tonight, the band's most-used set-closing song through 1985. Bruce Springsteen. Greetings from Asbury Park, N. с англ. Bruce Springsteen - Does This Bus Stop At 82nd Street 960. Bruce Springsteen - Lost In The Flood. Bruce Springsteen - The Angel. The first studio album from Bruce Springsteen. Although it featured musicians Bruce regularly played with and who would later become members of the E Street Band Clarence Clemons, David Sancious and Garry Tallent, this was considered a solo outing. Blinded By The Light would later become a 1 hit for Manfred Manns Earth Band. Released: January 5, 1973. Greetings From Asbury Park, Bruce Springsteens uproarious debut album, sounded like Subterranean Homesick Blues played at 78, a typical five-minute track bursting with more words than this review. Most of it didnt make much sense, but that was the point. Springsteen was rhyming and wailing for the sheer fun of it, and his manic exuberance more than canceled out his debts to Dylan, Van Morrison and the Band. The Wild, the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle takes itself more seriously. The songs are longer, more ambitious and more romantic and yet, wonderfully, they lose little of Greetings. Bruce Springsteen expanded the folk-rock approach of his debut album, Greetings from Asbury Park, N. to strains of jazz, among other styles, on its ambitious follow-up, released only eight months later. His chief musical lieutenant was keyboard player David Sancious, who lived on the E Street that gave the album and Springsteen's backup group its name. Indeed, Greetings from Asbury Park, N. was packed to the gills with wild rhymes, humorous asides, vivid characters and breathless stream-of-consciousness imagery, most of it drawn directly from Springsteens personal experiences. Most of the songs were twisted autobiographies, he wrote in his 2016 memoir, Born to Run. albums lyric-intensive songs were a significant departure from the music Springsteen had made before. Heard only within the context of Springsteens 1970s discography, its easy to view Greetings from Asbury Park, N. as the work of a Dylan-influenced acoustic troubadour trying to find his feet in the rock world. is the debut studio album by Bruce Springsteen. It was produced by Mike Appel and Jim Cretecos from June through October 1972 at the budget-priced 914 Sound Studios. Revisiting Bruce Springsteens Debut, Greetings From Asbury Park, N. Dave Lifton. Springsteen was too talented to be kept down for long. After his second album, The Wild, the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle sold even less than his debut, Springsteen hit the big time with Born to Run , and he stayed on top for decades to come. On Nov. 22, 2009, Springsteen closed his Working on a Dream tour by playing Greetings From Asbury Park, N. in its entirety. This was the miracle, he told the crowd. This was the record that took us from way below zero to. The E Street Shuffle 4:30. 4th Of July, Asbury Park Sandy 10:08. Kitty's Back 17:17. Wild Billy's Circus Story 22
