The Beatles 1962-1966 and its sister album 1967-1970 were the first Beatles compilations following the groups split in 1970. The tracklisting for both collections was compiled by Allen Klein, and were approved by the former members of The Beatles. No cover versions were included, and all the songs on the Red Album were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. I didnt want lousy versions going out, I wanted them to be as was.
